For many years as a General Practitioner I have taken an active interest in Dermatology, our skin is the largest organ our body possesses and the condition of our skin is deeply important to us, from both a medical and a cosmetic point of view. It reflects our state of well-being, and our age.
I had recognized the medical value of Botox for many years prior to my training in its cosmetic use. Several of my patients had been treated WITH BOTOX for twitching eyes or faces, others with multiple sclerosis had had great success in relieving their muscle tightness, often the results were as pleasing in how my patients felt as it was in their appearance. I was therefore delighted when I was offered the opportunity to be trained in the cosmetic use of Botox by the foremost Botox trainer in the UK and Europe, Professor Nick Lowe, a highly respected Consultant Dermatologist who has been using Botox as a cosmetic aid from the beginning of the Botox “revolution”.
Botox (Vistabel) has been used world wide to treat millions of people both medically and cosmetically. It continues to be a “best seller” in the pharmaceutical world, and in the RIGHT HANDS is an excellent alternative to surgery for obtaining youthful looks. The changes may be visible within 3 to 4 days, and are complete in about two to four weeks. There is no risk of scarring, no need for anaesthetics, and in the doubtful event that the results are not pleasing, the effects do wear off!
The more often the injections are given successfully, the longer the interval between injection [normal interval 4 to 6 months]. The results are pleasing but subtle, and so if you want to keep your youthful secret, you can.
I have now been treating patients with Botox facial injections successfully for over a decade and I am delighted to say that none of my patients have suffered side-effects, indeed many have returned for “more”. I have been greatly impressed by the feeling of well-being that has ensued through looking younger, and also impressed by some of the delightful life changes that have occurred as a result of increased self-confidence.
Apart from the above advantages, I also use Botox to relieve migraine headaches [of muscular origin], and to reduce embarrassing underarm sweating.
I am proud that Perlamar Clinic is a fully Accredited Botox Clinic, and had to pass a thorough inspection by the Conselleria de Sanidad de
All in all my experiences continue to reaffirm the value of ‘liking the way we look’. So don’t undervalue how important this is, or consider it vain, after all, everyone knows that ‘feeling good is good for us!’
